The actual science: age = days lived รท orbital period ๐ฐ๏ธ
There's no astrology here โ just division. Your age on any planet is simply the number of Earth days you've been alive, divided by that planet's orbital period (the length of its year, measured in Earth days). Planets near the Sun travel shorter, faster orbits, so their years are short and your age number grows. Outer planets crawl along giant orbits, so their year count stays tiny.

Why planetary ages differ
Mercury completes 4.15 orbits for every single Earth year. So every Earth birthday adds more than four Mercurian ones. Flip it around: on Neptune, a full century of human life wouldn't even complete one local year โ you'd be 0.6 Neptunian at 100.
Party trick worth memorizing ๐ฉ
- Mars: the favorite for space trivia โ divide your age by ~1.88.
- Jupiter: anyone under ~12 Earth years is under 1 on Jupiter.
- Pluto: since its discovery in 1930, it has completed less than one full orbit (it finished its first in 2178).
The conversion uses orbital periods published in NASA reference data (Mercury 87.969 days, Venus 224.70, Mars 686.98, Jupiter 4,332.59, Saturn 10,759.22, Uranus 30,688.5, Neptune 60,182 and Pluto 90,560). The display updates elapsed time continuously; values are rounded for presentation.
